Jimmy Fallon scarcely delivered the first few words of his monologue before The Roots interrupted. “Just bring her out!” they yelled, eliciting immediate applause from the crowd. Fallon chuckled and surrendered, and there was Taylor Swift. It was her seventh time on The Tonight Show and just a few days after the highly anticipated release of her twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl.

A Mystery Uncovered

Swift sat across from Fallon looking as relaxed as you could be if you had been holding back for a full year. Listening to the story, it was clear there had been a lot of holding back. “This album was my secret for almost a year,” she said, smiling. “It was like having a Christmas present hid, and thinking about it every day, thinking this is the best gift that any of my friends is going to get. I have to wait until we have the gift. That is absolutely how it felt.”

For her, it was now about sharing something with her fans because they all could “unwrap and play.”

The Ring and the Proposal

The camera quickly zoomed in on Swift’s left hand, pointed out by Fallon, revealing her engagement ring, which she says “he had holding onto before he proposed.” “He designed it himself with a jeweler. I find myself still staring at it. It doesn’t feel normal to me yet. He’s my favorite person. No offense to everyone else,” she said.

When asked about the proposal, Swift stated that she was proposed to as soon as finished recording the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce on August 13. “He was just acting like it’s just another podcast day.

He had blackout shades up on every widow, and he was acting weirdly nervous. He asked me to take a walk with a glass of wine, and, well, that was it,” said Swift. Fallon ended the interview with a flash of one of their official engagement photos, which are shot

Ed Sheeran Missed the Memo

As part of a game called Internet Rumor Roulette, Swift revealed something surprising. Her close friend Ed Sheeran found out she was engaged in the same way that everyone else did — on Instagram. “Ed doesn’t even have a phone,” she said. “So when it happened, I thought, Oh my God, I never got to tell him. But even if I

Bread: Her Latest Obsession

When the conversation shifted towards her recent hobbies , Swift chuckled as she confessed her latest obsession, baking bread.

” I have become that person who cannot stop talking about it, ” she said. ” Any new hobby I take on, it becomes my whole personality. At the moment it is bread. I have to remind myself not to let it dominate the conversation at parties!”

Quickfire with Fallon

Before concluding, Fallon fired off a few quick questions to Swift:

●        Last text sent: Selena Gomez

●        Last movie seen: One Battle After Another

●        Last autumn activity: Baked cinnamon rolls

●        Last song she played of her own: The Tortured Poets Department – a goodbye jam to another era of her career

Looking Ahead

Swift will be interviewed on Late Night with Seth Meyers on October 8, which will be her third turn in Studio 8G. There is a new album, a new ring, and a new passion for bread, all of which suggest she is completely comfortable in the next chapter of her life filled with laughs, love, and music.
